The personal computing industry is flooded with products. Intel wanted to simplify the buying process and tout their expertise while doing so. Thus creating "Shop Spot" — a suite of applet tools to help consumers find the technology that best suits them. Shop Spot was designed to be an extensible tool set that could grow as a library of applets as more learnings around the pain points of PC purchasing became available. Each applet was designed to let the user learn about complex technical information in a fun, quick and engaging way. Oh, and it wasn't an app either. Just a mobile ad that felt and functioned like one.
